Monolith CRM vs ServiceTitan

Monolith CRM vs ServiceTitan

ServiceTitan is the enterprise FSM incumbent. Years of refinement, deep industry-specific tooling, and one of the broadest feature surfaces in the category. The catch is the cost of getting there — sales-led pricing reportedly $245–$500+ per tech per month, $5K–$50K implementation projects, 12-month minimum contracts, plus paid 'Pro' add-ons for VoIP, AI dispatch, GPS, pricebook content, marketing, sales intelligence, contact center, and voice agent. Monolith covers the same operational depth across a unified platform — Monolith CRM, Connect, and Docs — at a meaningfully lower price point, with transparent pricing on every product and add-on, and modern AI throughout.

Where ServiceTitan wins

Years of refinement at enterprise scale

ServiceTitan has been refining its FSM platform for over a decade with thousands of large multi-location operations shaping the feature set. The polish that comes from that scale — especially in dispatch, scheduling, and complex job costing — is real and earned.

Deep industry-specific content (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing)

ServiceTitan ships purpose-built modules and Pricebook Pro content libraries tuned to specific trades — managed flat-rate pricebooks for HVAC and plumbing, roofing-specific tools with Xactimate integration, commercial sales workflows. If you need decade-deep vertical content out of the box and you're willing to pay for the matching Pro add-on, ServiceTitan has it.

Dedicated implementation and customer success

Enterprise customers get a dedicated implementation team and CSM to walk through a months-long onboarding. If your business needs hand-holding through a structured implementation, ServiceTitan has the org structure to support it.

Established financing and partner ecosystem

Integrated consumer financing through GreenSky, GoodLeap, FinanceIt, Service Finance, and Turns is built into the platform. The third-party app marketplace (CompanyCam, Knockbase, supplier integrations like Ferguson and Winsupply) covers gaps with mature partner connections.

Where Monolith wins

A unified platform with native integration, at a lower price point

Both Monolith and ServiceTitan sell base platforms plus add-on modules. The difference is structural and economic. Monolith CRM, Connect, and Docs are separately subscribed products that share one login, one bill, one customer record, and native integration — every call rings into the same record your work order is on, every document is generated from your CRM data. ServiceTitan layers eight paid 'Pro' products on top of base plans that reportedly start at $245+ per tech per month plus $5K–$50K implementation. Monolith starts with a deliberately lean and affordable core for businesses that don't need every feature, with module pricing aimed at service businesses, not enterprise procurement teams.

Custom objects, not just custom fields

ServiceTitan supports custom fields on its built-in objects — but you cannot define entirely new data models. Monolith lets you create custom objects with their own fields, relationships, validation rules, and workflows: equipment lifecycle records, permit trackers, warranty registrations, anything your business actually tracks. Your platform shapes to your business.

Plain-language automation authoring

ServiceTitan's Atlas can run reports and dispatch jobs by voice command, but you cannot describe a custom automation in plain English and have the system build it. Moli does — describe an automation ("flag invoices over 30 days unpaid and assign a follow-up to the account owner") and Moli builds the workflow. No flow-builder certification required.

WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger built in

ServiceTitan supports two-way SMS but not WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger natively — those require Zapier integrations. Monolith Connect supports SMS, WhatsApp, and Facebook Messenger as native channels with conversations threaded into the customer record automatically.

True two-way email, not a hand-off to Outlook

ServiceTitan's email workflow hands off to your local Outlook client and reply threads do not consistently land back on the customer record. Monolith captures both inbound and outbound email on the customer timeline so the full conversation lives with the contact.

SLA entitlements with breach alerts

ServiceTitan tracks service agreements and visit cadence but does not have a true SLA entitlement engine with severity tiers, response-time clocks, or breach alerts. Monolith tracks SLA entitlements per contract, monitors clock against severity tier, and alerts on warning, critical, and breach thresholds.

Photo capture with watermarking and GPS overlay built in

ServiceTitan attaches photos and supports markup, but timestamp/GPS/branded watermarking is typically done through the CompanyCam integration. Monolith watermarks every captured photo with date, GPS coordinates, and company branding natively — the photo holds up as documentation without a separate tool.

Public API on every plan, not gated to the top tier

ServiceTitan gates its public REST API and webhooks to "The Works" tier only — Starter and Essentials customers cannot integrate at all. Monolith makes the API and webhooks available across plans so you can build integrations from day one without paying for the top tier first.

Modern AI integrated as one assistant, not five separate features

ServiceTitan has invested heavily in AI — Atlas for chat, Dispatch Assist for routing, Field Pro for sales intelligence, Voice Agent for receptionist, Marketing Pro AI for campaigns. Each is a separate product. Moli is one AI assistant that surfaces the right data, drafts documents, writes automations, handles inbound calls and messages — across the entire platform.

Transparent pricing — no demo gate, no 12-month minimum

ServiceTitan does not publish pricing. You go through a sales process to find out what the platform plus your needed add-ons will cost, and the typical engagement is a 12-month minimum contract plus $5K–$50K implementation. Monolith Beta pricing is being finalized with customers and will be published openly before any billing begins. Both base and add-on prices will be public — you'll know exactly what you're signing up for.

Faster to get started — no enterprise implementation project

ServiceTitan is built around a structured enterprise onboarding that runs months. Monolith is built for teams that want to be operational quickly without a dedicated implementation engagement.

Pricing

ServiceTitan does not publish pricing publicly — pricing is sales-led with a typical 12-month minimum contract. Third-party sources put plans at roughly $245–$500+ per technician per month across three tiers (Starter, Essentials, The Works), plus $5,000–$50,000+ in one-time implementation fees. The "Pro" add-ons (Phones Pro, Dispatch Pro, Fleet Pro, Pricebook Pro, Marketing Pro, Field Pro, Contact Center Pro, Voice Agent) are billed separately on top of base plans. API and webhook access is included only on "The Works" tier. Monolith starts with a deliberately lean and affordable CRM core for businesses that do not need every feature. CRM modules (Sales, Inventory, Project Management, etc.), Monolith Connect (phone and SMS), and Monolith Docs are separately subscribed and billed together on one platform. Even fully loaded, Monolith is meaningfully more affordable than a comparable ServiceTitan configuration. Beta pricing is being finalized with customers and will be published before any billing begins, with no implementation fees or annual contract minimums during Beta.
